My goodness!

Well it certainly has been a long time since I last posted on my blog. Not much has been happening though in our part of the world. The puppies have gotten big already, and almost 2 weeks old!

I harvested the first lettuce out of our garden the other day. It was very nice and crisp. I looked like a big one, but when I picked it, it turned out to be 3 smaller ones all clumped together, so I split it up and gave some to a friend. Heaps more in the garden almost ready to be picked anyway. The basil has done well so I will try to make some pesto up soon. Though it is always nicer fresh made, it can be kept in a jar in the fridge for about a week.

The chickens have been laying well and they are earning their keep, as I sell the cartons to people in the area for $2.50 a carton. It doesn't make any money, but covers the cost of their feed nicely. Got heaps of baking down today in preparation for going back to work for another week, so snacks are all ready to go. Meals are usually leftovers, snadwiches or stew anyway so not much needs to be there. Snacks can be a pain, unless they are ready made, and I hate buying snack foods in a box. Never know what those companies put in them!

Been playing a fair bit of WoW lately. Been really getting into Naxxramas and finally finished it! This is a pretty good achievment for a very casual guild. The only times we get to go is when enough guildies are on. Even then we are sometimes hampered by the fact there is not enough healers or tanks on. Being one of the off healers means I am usually in demnd for some instance or another. Makes a nice difference from playing my hunter and mage for all that time. Some of the scenery in WoW is very pretty..

I hope everyone out there in the wide world has been having a great month. Yet another one is almost over and winter will be here in full force. I still have yet to finish my slippers (One is almost done), but other then that I think I have winter wear all ready to go. May everyone stay warm in the coming months.
