Big clean up...

After the storm.  TC Ului has now left the region which I am glad to say.  It was a noisy night with all the wind and rain gusting everywhere.  Not too much mess in the yard, just a few palm fronds.  The power took about 15 hours to come back once it went out.  So far as I know we haven't lost anything in the fridge or freezer so that is good.

Before the big storm decided to hit, I made this cute bottle holder out of a drink carrier from one of the bottleshops.  It was a nice thin wetsuit material and had a bonus handle built in.  I wish I had taken photos while making it, but with refashioning, I just never know if it will work out until I am done.  It works quite well at keeping my drink cold.  It was a shame I didn't have any more bag to make another one. Hubby keeps stealing it for his drinks!

Both the chickens and the dogs were fine through the storm, with a managerie of animals in different parts of the house.  The chickens seemd to like being under the house and I had a hard time shooing them out in the morning.  The dogs sat up with us last night.  I think they were a bit stressed with all the noises outside the house so have spent a fair amount of time sleeping today.
