Puppies and paint..

Yes I know they don't go together, but I have some photos to put up!  The puppies are getting so big already and have opened their eyes.  Still cute though and getting very tubby little bellies with all the eating they have been doing.  I am sure they will be up running around in no time.

I have managed to get some painting done.  I painted the upper barrier around the stairs.  This didn't really look like it had been painted at all except the top timber piece.  Well it was more headache then I imagined as after painting primer on the area, the primer on the top timber section was peeling off the next day!  I was like What the ?!?!?  So after some research I found out that previous owners had used Calcimine inside!  This is chalk based and nothing seems to stick to it, so I pulled out the heat gun and heated and scraped off all my hard work and that terrible calcimine paint.  I was able to reprime and paint after.  I used a nice dulux color, whisper white, which looks like a nice warm off white (I will repaint the upper timer rail at a later date in a darker color.)  In the mean time I did some investigating and found calcimine throught the trims and doors on the house.  It will prove troublesome to paint with all the scraping back that is required.  Oh yeah and you can see our new gate too! this keep the dogs where I want to put them. (thanks mum).

The motor bike got a wash and polish today as DH has been riding it regularly.  He has found positive benifits from his riding and I really think that it might be doing him some as he is getting some exercise and stretching for his back while riding.  Due to his doing so well Ihave been looking at getting him a vibration platform machine so that he would get more of the same treatment at home while watching some TV or something.  The bike looks great now!
