Yup it's true. After all the rain last night, which come to spproximately 140mm (in my rain gague) today was sunny and very hot. The thermometer in my garden was saying 47c this afternoon! It has been cloudy, dark rainy ones, on the horizon, but nothing more over town. The dam hasn't gone over the wall yet but some smaller creek crossings are over the road.
If I had of known it was going to be so sunny all day I would have mowed the yard! It is getting straggly/hairy, due to the rain we have had. I planted some seeds in the vegie patch today. No dog detterent is up yet, just hoping like mad the dogs don't dig it up on me. Already had the seeds, so no huge loss, compared to the cost of seedlings if I had of planted those and the dogs dug it up. Hmm that last sentance is badly written, very confusing I think.
Got some day's off coming up, I can't wait! Will definately have to mow the yard though if it's not raining again :( Such is life. Always something isn't it?
