Slowing down

Well I am hoping it will happen around here soon. Homes have been found for all the puppies, except 1, so we will have her around here for a bit longer until we find her one. I am sure Rogue and Tank wouldn't mind a little one in the yard for a bit longer. I realised I haven't posted for a fair while and really should keep on top of these things.

The garden will take a hit soon, the council has brought in strict watering restrictions, which will impact the way we water or garden. Time to become more water savy and hopefully we won't lose any crops in the process. I have spoken to the council about this as we aren't in any type of drought here, the general response is too many other people are wasting the water and the council needs future water sustanability, so everyone has to put up with the restrictions. I was told I can apply to water outside of the restriction hours via letter, not sure if I will yet though.

I bake goodies regularly, but need to find some other more hearty meals to cook now winter is here. Unbelively though, the cooler weather has all been burnt off by some kind of heat wave that is keeping the temprature quite warm lately. Those first few cold days have been all we've had so far. All of the knitting is on hold because of this, I might move more into the sewing area and get some of these odd jobs around the house done. I cleaned up the sewing table this evening which had accumulated a lot of 'stuff'. This should make getting in and sewing much easier.

I kicked my secondhand vax vaccum into gear this week. Very hard work shampooing carpets with it. First time I have ever used it for this, it does do a great job. I had no idea humans and dogs could track so much hair and dirt in as they do. Lounge was first and I am almost through the bedrooms right now and have to move furniture as I go. It is a great chance to declutter and clean up while I clear a room! The spare room is being given a big clean up as we have visitors coming to visit over the next few weeks.

Have a long weekend coming up next week, it will be a gratefull break. So many away jobs have been worked lately, I am sure I spend more time at work then I do at home sometimes. I have added some leave onto my days off, so will be good time to catch up with everybody.
