The puppies have all gone to new homes now. It was very teary this time as they have been with us much longer then the other litters. I hope they will be happy and healthy in thier new homes.
Since I have had a couple of days off work, I have started to seriously clean the house up. It hasn't had a really good clean since we moved in which is sad really. I started under the house, which required moving everything around to clean the cement then moving it into place again so I could do the next bit. While doing this I took the oppurtunity to rearange our belongings down there. I finished it off today and I feel like I have really achieved something!
I am loving my new ride on mower! wow it is sooo much easier to mow the yard. I mowed again today and It was just so easy. It unfortuantely did not help with the small gully down one side (There is no gutter there, I wish there was but it is a gully) It was really long and unmanageable so I got out today and it took a couple of hours with the wipper snipper getting the grass all down. It has made the yard look really good. I got out with some round up and sprayed it on the bindi's in the yard. There seems to be an explosion of them since the rain. I hope that kills them off as I don't like the thought of pulling them all out by hand.
I have manged to do some refashioning over the week and created a pair of very pretty fingerless gloves. they are purple stripes, quite long and cover the wrist which will be handy. I am aiming to make a scarf with the remaining fabric from the shirt. I have another old purple shirt there that I might alternate with the stripy shirt. Will have to wait and see what happens. Here is a photo of the gloves!
