Food yum!

Yup got th baking done this evening. Mmm lots of brownie slice and some impossible pie. I have to find some other easy to make and bake recipes I think. But these will do well in the freezer, and will be tops to take to work for snacks.

I have found a recipe for home made soaps. It will take me a while to get all the ingredients and utensils. When I have it all together, I will give it a go. I will post it all up here when/if it happens :P I am hoping to. the recipe looks easy enough, though it will take a few days to cure properly. Also this recipe is made with vegetable oils, instead of animal fats, which is kind of nicer when you think about it. Also have a recipe around here for some of those bath bombs, fizzy things, and some chocolate bath milk mix. Might have to make all of them up!

Planted some wombok (chinese cabbage) Couldn't find any seedlings, so seeds it is I guess. Wombok makes an excellent salad. The sprinkler system seems to be working great! At least I can wander around and play ball with the dogs or feed the chickens or something. Have to get into the yard mowing done tomorrow, shame about the line trimmer not being here yet, but can unfortunately not put it off any longer. The front garden got a clean up today, though it only consists of few small plants I am hoping will hedge eventually, just a good weed to get rid of grass and some weedmatting down. I think I will mulch on top of the weedmat too. Might help the plants grow faster... My grass seems to grow a lot faster then anything else in the yard.

  1. soap sounds good. you might be able to do some for Chrissy presents. Can you perfume it at all. Let me know how it turns out. Vege oil would be nicer than animal fat I reckon
