Well the seeds I planted a few posts ago have turned into seedlings. Seems to happen so fast. I enjoyed baby carrots and sugarloaf cabbage from the garden this week. It was delicious and had so much flavour. I am looking forward to trying my tomatoes that still haven't ripened yet! they are certainly taking their time. The bushes are loaded with them, so think I wil be making lots of stuff with tomatoes in it. Have had quite a few days off this week, and I know I have still been slack with the posting. It was nice to have a break from it all.
Have had to organise some things with the house. getting quotes to get stuff done. a tree needs to be removed, some fencing (maybe at a later date) some internal painting and carpets. Also need to fix up the little bathroom and toilet. Something went very wrong when they made that one. I think we will need to actually pull a wall out to make the design better. I'm not worried though, the wall that I would like to remove isn't a load bearing one, I'd say they put it in when they made the bathroom. Not sure when that will get done though. Do any builders need a working holiday? lol would be nice. I think I am getting fencing quotes today so I know what kind of fence we can look at to go around the entire yard. At the moment only the back yard is fenced in with some low mesh panels. Being a corner block with a bit of traffic, I am thinking something that might keep some of the noise out would be nice, I am thinking that will also be quite expensive.
I am fed up with our rental manager already. So I am organising a new one today. Need to get some sleep though too, I am going to work at 0015! very early. But I do hate it when they give you those shifts after a day off. It's not really a day off then is it?
I made honey and oatmeal soap. I think I put too much honey in it. It went very dark brown in color. Still it is very nice to use. To all rellies out there, be on the look out for some soap arriving! I finally got some sent out. I bought a very cheap stick blender to use when making the soap, it has made the whole process so much faster. I wish I had bought one earlier. I am looking at making some soy candles now. I know kits can be bought online and when they are done they are very pretty. Quite a few people have been making and selling them. They are very expensive candles! but smell divine. Not sure when I will get around to it though...
