Aren't they just wonderfull? The chance to rest and recuperate. Also the chance to get that job done that's been waiting a while. I finished a short scarf I have been making with some pretty alpaca wool and will furnish it with some buttons or a pin to hold it at the neck. I have enough wool left over to make some matching hand warmers and have decided to make the length much longer then my first pair so they can be worn with 3/4 length shirts/shrugs. I will post some photos when it is all finished up.
The other thing I have been thinking about lately is Christmas. It has come into my thoughts due to the Christmas in July posters I have seen around town. I would like to use this year into getting away from the commercialism of Christmas. Christmas is about remembering or spending time with loved ones, not buying every single person a gift. Small home made or useful items. Yes they aren't expensive really, but it takes time and thought to make a gift for someone. I also believe the gift is more special and has more meaning. So I will have to start thinking about the family gifts and start putting items into a Christmas box, ready to send out when the time comes.
