Well the ceiling is finished. I won't put any photos up until it is all finished, then I will have before and after shots of the room. It does look so much better then it did before. All the flaking paint is gone and it is fresh white yay! The trims on the cieling are terrible to paint. Took ages to prep and paint due to having to continuly move the ladder around. Also the little triangle sections had to be hand painted. maybe next time I will buy a tiny roller to get into the triangle sections.
Next on the list is I need to work out some studs and gyprock measurements to start on the walls to make them all nice and smooth. I know I still need to remove the trims, lights and anything else attached to the wall before the gyprock goes up. I have removed the bulk of the damaged VJ roomsI will have to get an electrician in to arrange the wiring as it will be behind the wall now and needs to be shifted to a better position I would like to get another power point installed too, they are always handy to have extra ones.
I think the wall part will be the most time consuming. Then to replace all the trims and paint it all should take a few weeks. Not sure if I want to get it Air-conditioned or not yet. I still don't even have air-con in the main bedroom and I will need to get that sorted straight after the New year. definately needs to be done before I start work again!
My goodness that is a pretty long list of things to do isn't it and all for only one room. Hopefully by the end of this I will have a better understanding of doing renovations for the other rooms that need to be done and things will get faster as I go.
